V. MANJUNATH
V. Manjunath is an innovation specialist, quality
ecosystem expert and an environmental conservation enthusiast. He is a Mechanical
engineer with a master’s degree in quality management. Manjunath has thirty
plus years of work experience in varied areas ranging from designing of
innovative HVAC products, to development of standards to address local needs with
global relevance. With his deep understanding on regional requirements,
consumer expectations, Manjunath is focused on facilitating development of standards
in India through active participation in Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Sectional
committees, and Standards committees of industry associations. He is currently a
member of various sectional committees of BIS in the capacity of convener (or) member
for development of new standards and review of the current standards. An active
member of MED 03, CED 36, ETD 52 to mention few of the committees of BIS. He is
currently national chair – standards committee of ISHRAE (Indian Society of
Heating, Refrigeration, and Air conditioning Engineers) and has been an active member
of standards developed by ISHRAE since the inception of standards development
at ISHRAE.
Manjunath a strong believer in building
safe, secure and sustainable quality ecosystem through sharing knowledge. He
has organized various workshops, roundtable discussions driving timebound action
plans.
Working with UL Standards & Engagement
Inc., a nonprofit, mission driven organization, as Regional Standards Manager –
South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, Manjunath convenes subject matter experts, from
industry, standardization professionals and other stakeholders for development
of standards making world a safer, secure and sustainable place to live. He is a
Distinguished Member of Technical Staff - William Henry Merrill Society.
