Anupam Kaul

Anupam Kaul has a long and distinguished career as one of India's leading experts on standards, conformity assessment and technical regulations. He worked with Bureau of Indian Standards for more than 2 decades and headed the Product certification policy and training institute. He was instrumental in setting up the BIS foreign certification scheme and in transitioning certification operations to technology platforms. He made a mid-career change to join the Confederation of Indian Industry where he headed the Standards advocacy portfolio among several other consulting and training roles over 15 years.  He is now a Strategic Adviser (Standards & Quality) for CII and other institutions.

Anupam is associated as an accreditation expert with the UNFCCC on the Clean Mechanism Development scheme. He also chairs two important national standards committees at BIS on Quality Management and Basic Services. He is the lead author of the Indian National Strategy for Standardization. He has served on several Boards of QCI
